About NutriBalance Systems

Our Story

At NutrimeterX.com, we are passionate about creating delicious and healthy food options for our community. Our journey started developing the Nutri-Scale system in 2007.

Our Design Philosophy

We strive to provide fast and efficient tools and systems for both Consumers and Providores (Farmers, Growers, Producers and those local outlets and eateries which support fresh, local, quality produce.

We initially designed Nutri-Scale in 2007 to be able to identify and capture the nutrient intakes of all food and beverage items in the kitchen, as and when consumed in 2-3 secs.

It also kept details of what was avaiiable in fridge and pantry , warned of "use by dates' etc. to make shpping easier

Then in 2009, we integrated the Smart Chef device to enable fast and easy capture "whilst on the go"!

It was small enough to fit into your pocket or purse,  rechargeable battery and BlueTooth connection to your "Spot Check" app on your phone.

SmartChef (TM)

Besides FGF integration for balancing your and/or your households  RNI / RDI (as per chart below), SmartChef came with integration with WeightWatchers, FitBit, Fat Secret, Apple / iPhone health and other well known apps

Balancing your and/or your households RNI / RDI needs to be

Our Mission

Balancing your Recommended Nutrient Intake (RNI) = Recommended Dietary Intake (RDI in USA)!

We started our FindGoodFood (FGF, the system) and Nutrimeter (Nx, the tools) journey in 2007, when looking for fast and easy solutions to improve our health. And realised that we are what we eat, and that IT tools could make analysis fast and easy!'

So, we started measuring food intake against globally recognized standards.

  • In Australia/New Zealand (ANZ), our National Health and Medical Research  Council  (NHMRC) recommends RNI based on your age, sex, height, weight and physical activity.
  • Food Standards Australia  New Zealand (FSANZ) provides the 'average'  nutrient intake across some 5000 foods, including fresh produce and vegetables.
  • As BRIX had been used by food scientists for past 200 years as the best, objective measure of produce quality, we used the internationally recognized the BRIX Readings and Ratings of 'poor', 'average', 'good' and 'excellent' , to adjust the value of nutrient intakes up or down according to objective quality.
  • Sounds complicated, but IT tools makes this fast and easy to produce the above chart.

Our 2007 Nutri-Balance System scanned, identified and weighed what we ate in 2-3 secs, and produced the above chart.

  • But this was too tedious, too easy to miss everything, so in 2023, we designed a "Spot Check" App within the FindGoodFood system which worked quite well, based on a representative sample of what you regularly ate over 3 days or a week.
  • The main advantage was that you could find the right foods to correct any imbalances within the FGF system, fast and easy!

About Nutri-Balance Systems

About soil suitability!

About soil suitability!

About soil suitability!

It is VIP that produce is grown in soil which best provides the nustrients that the plant needs!

Good soil must also be good for the plant! and provide the essential nutrients the plant needs!

AgroCares scanners

About soil suitability!

About soil suitability!

are powerful NIR spectrometers  which can:

  • Advise what is best crop or produce to plant in in your soil, and/or
  • Advise what nutrient inputs are needed, if you insisted on planting a specifc crop / produce

given your specific climatic conditions, of course.

In FindGoodFood, you can periodically "spot check" your and/or your household's RDI or RNI whenever circumstances change, like kids leaving home.

Then see what local produce, plants, herbs, etc. best balance your deficiencies / excesses. Or if you have to what health supplements are best.

About the Nutri-Balance journey!

Our NutriScale Story

In 2007, when I had health issues, I realized I am what I eat, so started to capture everything in Excel producing  the above RNI Balancing chart. But it was tedious, prone to forgetting to enter everything I ate or drank.

The 4 other functions:

  • keeping food stock in fridge and pantry.
  • planning normal shopping
  • planning for guests, and
  • tracking "Use by" dates

NutriScale II

When Mobiles came in, we integrated SmartChef scales with Mobiles and Smart Watches   (as above).

Can't remember the benefits other than instant alerts or warnings via the watch.

But you could record inputs if your phone and/or scale was not available, especially fast foods!

The perfect meal !

The perfect meal !

Cooker / Blenders are fantastic, making great tasting meals by adding the right ingredients in at the right time and temperature!

But one needs to weigh everything exactly and at the right time of its timed input.

So, NustriScale III was born.

Note our Nutrimeter I (BRIX meter) stating to be used in adjusting nutrient intakes based on BRIX values
